The Great Roadrunner Race
The Great Roadrunner Race is an official (and highly prestigious) component of UNM Big Give.
With your gift, you may sponsor one of three roadrunners—Redondo, Rally, or Rio—each representing a shared mission: supporting the Main Campus Student Emergency Relief Fund.
Your donation provides immediate assistance to students facing unexpected financial challenges, helping them stay enrolled, stable, and supported when it matters most. All gifts of $26 or more will receive a commemorative sticker and certificate in honor of your sponsorship in the inaugural Race. While the Race itself is fictional, the impact is not.

Redondo ‘26
The current student. Focused, ambitious, and running on equal parts determination and caffeine. Redondo knows exactly what it means to need support at the right moment—and is here for the students navigating it right now.
Rally ‘91
The spirited alum. Confident, loyal, and still very invested in the success of UNM (and possibly still talking about their glory days). Rally shows up, gives back, and believes in paying it forward.
Rio ‘14
The rising professional. Established, pragmatic, and just far enough out to remember how hard those years could be. Rio bridges then and now—supporting students with a clear understanding of what it takes to get through.
